Roshanara Club conferred honorary lifetime membership to Indian national team cricketer Mohammad Shami
Delhi’s prestigious Roshanara Club conferred honorary lifetime membership to Indian national team cricketer Mohammad Shami yesterday. The club, where the Board of Cricket Control in India was established in 1928 has had a long-standing relationship with the sport, hosting several first-class games over the years and the association with Shami is another crowning jewel in its illustrious history.
Present on the occasion were club representatives – Amit Garg, Chairman Cricket, Kunal Vanjani, Co-Chairman Cricket, Jaspreet Singh, Secretary Cricket and Arjun Gupta – Secretary Cricket.
After the induction, they took the 29-year-old speedster on a tour of the facilities. Seemingly impressed and buoyed by the bonhomie of the club officials, Shami said, “It’s a great honour for me to be granted life membership here; the facilities here are world-class and I will definitely be frequenting it during the offseason.”
Co-Secretary, Cricket of the Club Arjun Gupta who also owns Kragbuzz Sports also informed the gathering that his team, along with Lalit Dahiya will be managing all endorsements and off-field commitments for Mohammad Shami.
